Join us virtually each week as we read Rip Van Winkle by Washington Irving together! Registration required.
Open Your World Book Club provides reading, social, and educational opportunities for adults and older teens with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, and other Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Age-appropriate reading selections are used along with visuals and other built-in supports to increase fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. This session’s selection is: Rip Van Winkle by Washington Irving. Rip Van Winkle falls asleep in the Catskill Mountains after accepting a drink. He wakes up 20 years later as an old man, in a very different America than the one he knows.
