Join us to gain new insights about American Indian culture and the methods used to interpret the meanings of the distinctive trail trees, also called Indian Marker Trees, that were left behind.
Join Don Wells as he presents recent findings about Indian Marker Trees and their significance to American Indian culture. He will discuss the process of locating and documenting these trees, as well as researching their meaning. Attendees will learn how these trees were deliberately altered to signal sacred places or areas rich in resources, and their participation will help preserve American Indian history.
