Come cheer on the Yellow Jackets and discover the stories, traditions, and history that make Georgia Tech Athletics special!

This program will explore the rich history of Georgia Tech Athletics with a presentation celebrating the teams, traditions, memorable moments, and legendary figures that have shaped the Yellow Jackets. From historic victories to beloved traditions, discover how Georgia Tech’s athletic legacy has become an important part of the school’s identity and Atlanta’s history.

Jack Purdy is a Class of 2022 graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology, the Communications Manager for Traditions at the Georgia Tech Alumni Association, and an Atlanta native. His work encompasses research and storytelling about Georgia Tech’s history, featured in the Georgia Tech Alumni Magazine, online, and on social media. Purdy also curates history-themed tours for Georgia Tech’s Homecoming weekend and collaborates with other campus units to further promote engagement with Tech’s history across its campus and with alumni.
