This program series looks at the legacy and impact of Georgia HBCUs. We?ll look at where they came from, where they are, and why they are important to today?s adults and upcoming college applicants!
Join guest speakers and library staff as we look into the history of HBCUs in Georgia, the impact these colleges have made on alumnis in Gwinnett, and what attending one of these colleges and universities can do for you.
Part 1, March 11th, 9am: A prerecorded program in which library staff do a deep dive into Georgia-specific HBCUs, their history, and what has changed over time.
Part 2, March 18th, 6:30pm: A live event featuring guest speakers who have graduated from HBCUs in Georgia, answering questions about what effects the college experience had on their lives and how they've succeeded. Questions can be pre-submitted via this Google Form.
Part 3, March 25th, 9am: A prerecorded program in which the admissions process for Georgia HBCUs is discussed in detail, the focus of each college or university, and answers to commonly asked questions. Submit your information using this Google Form.
