Celebrate Earth Month and learn how to protect the environment from harmful waste.
We all have products in our homes that can make our daily activities more efficient or convenient. However, many of these items, like batteries, paint, automotive fluids, and pesticides, can leach contaminants into waterways, harming wildlife and damaging ecosystems if disposed of improperly. Learn how to protect your health and our environment with safe and sustainable ways to dispose of household hazardous waste.
Representatives from the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources will teach strategies for handling and storing household chemicals, as well as ideas on safe and environmentally friendly disposal methods.
