September 22, 2024, is Senior Falls Prevention Awareness Day. Join us to learn about resources for seniors and tips to prevent falls.
Falls are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries in older Americans. However, falls are not an inevitable part of aging.
Falls are a major cause of injury and pose an especially significant threat to the health and independence of older Americans. More than one in four adults aged 65 and older experience a fall each year. This results in 3 million emergency department visits for fall injuries, and over 800,000 hospitalizations.
Join us to learn how to prevent and minimize falls using exercises, getting regular health checkups, and making your home safer.
Registration is recommended.
