John Byrne is a writer, broadcaster, performer and personal advisor to a wide range of international artists. He has for over 25 years been Resident Career Advisor to The Stage Media Group, publishers of world's oldest theatrical and entertainment industry publication (founded in 1880). In this role he has interviewed well over 2000 actors, director, producers and casting directors working in stage and screen all over the world. He is co-director of the New Wonder Management Talent Agency, which represents actors, presenters, directors and intimacy coordinators around the world, with client work ranging from the Jurassic World franchise, Bridgerton, The Witcher, Wheel of Time and Top Boy to the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre UK.
Moderating the talk will be Dr. Nsenga Burton, an award-winning writer, and entrepreneur. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of the award-winning website, The Burton Wire, a news blog covering news of the African Diaspora. Former editor-at-large for The Root, Dr. Burton is an expert on the intersection of race, class, gender, sexuality with film, media and technology.
