STEM - Science | Watercolor Butterfly
Thursday, August 15
5:00pm - 6:00pm
Butterflies look so vibrant and colorful, but did you know that butterfly wings are clear? Join us to learn more about how butterflies get their striking colors and other fun facts about butterflies. Then paint your own watercolor butterfly.
The colors and patterns we see in butterfly wings are made by the reflection of light on the tiny scales covering them (structural coloring). Furthermore, the striking colors in butterfly wings not only look beautiful but also help them in their survival. Join us to learn more fun facts about butterflies, then paint your own watercolor butterfly.
