Everyone is invited to join us in participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count. This annual event invites community scientists (you!) to count birds in our community and send the data to trained scientists for study.

This program is appropriate for all ages and will teach the basics on identifying local birds, including helpful apps and guides.  

Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars and SLR cameras with zoom lenses. Consider downloading the eBird and Merlin Bird ID apps in advance. More information on the Great Backyard Bird Count can be found here: birdcount.org.

Program takes place partially outdoors, rain or shine; please dress for the weather. Some walking and one or two low steps involved.
