It's Giving AI is an interactive workshop that helps teens explore the ethical and legal issues of AI-generated art, such as questions of copyright and fair use. Teens will learn to think critically about responsible and creative AI use and participate in a game to test their AI-spotting skills.
In this engaging workshop, teens will be introduced to the complex ethical and legal issues surrounding AI-generated art. AI systems are trained on millions of copyrighted images without artists’ explicit permission, raising questions about fair use, originality, and ownership. Participants will explore the importance of giving credit to creators and what responsible use of AI looks like. The program also includes a hands-on game where teens test their ability to spot AI-generated images, helping them sharpen critical thinking skills about creativity in the digital age
