For caregivers of children and adults with developmental disabilities who experience challenging behaviors, this is a layperson?s approach to investigating the potential causes and seeking help.
Answers and supportive advice to the following questions are discussed:
- What are possible causes of challenging behaviors?
- What is the caregiver’s perspective & support needs?
- What are the relevant and available state resources that can help?
- What type of help do families need from the community in order to help the child succeed?
