Learn scientific facts about stars, auroras, and the Northern Lights, as we paint a night sky painting step by step.

Learn scientific facts about stars, auroras, and the Northern Lights, as we paint a night sky painting step by step. We will practice techniques and increase their knowledge of acrylic painting on canvas, using three different size brushes, and acrylic paints. This program will also be available on the Gwinnett Library YouTube channel.

Supplies needed for the online painting class:

  • Set of basic acrylic paints - Blue, black, green, and white
  • 4 paintbrushes - 2 large flat, 1 medium flat, and 1 small detail brush 
  • 8x10 canvas or canvas board
