New York Times bestselling author, Liz Johnson, discusses literary legacy - Prince Edward Island.
New York Times bestselling author, Liz Johnson, is the author of seven novels set on Prince Edward Island. Join Liz, as she explores the literary legacy of Canada’s smallest province.
Author Lucy Maud Montgomery was inspired to write her beloved children’s novel, Anne of Green Gables, from her love of nature and the beauty of the island. The red cliffs, towering pines, and gentle waves against the varied shorelines of Prince Edward Island continue to inspire writers today.
Through personal photographs and stories, Liz will share how the island and its most famous fictional resident- a red-headed orphan, has impacted the modern literary landscape. From contemporary romance to cookbooks, to personal growth and devotionals, Prince Edward Island’s unique history and culture has inspired hundreds of books.
Liz Johnson is the author of more than a dozen inspirational romance novels, a New York Times bestselling novella, and a handful of short stories. She makes her home in Phoenix, Arizona.
