Duluth Meeting RoomLearn about healthy lifestyle changes and healthy recipes to cook. This program will have Korean translation available.
These nutritional program series will help participants to enhance knowledge and facilitate healthy behavior change across the lifespan. Through cooking demonstrations, we will show participants how to increase vegetables, whole grains, and fruits to focus on the impact of chronic disease-preventive lifestyle behaviors. Korean translation will be available.
- Tuesday, March 12 - 4 Ps for Cancer Prevention: No one wants to get cancer. We will discuss some ways that you can reduce your risk for cancer. We will especially focus on what you can do about your food and physical activity habits that can protect you and your family.
- Tuesday, April 9 - Building & Keeping Strong Bones: Are you counting on your bones to last a lifetime? Bones are like a bank account where you deposit calcium and other minerals to build strong bones. However, when your body needs calcium elsewhere, you withdraw calcium from bones.
- Tuesday, May 14 - Ways to Maintain Your Healthy Brain: There are many ways to protect your brain health and decrease your chances of getting dementia. Today, we will talk about many of the things you can do to maintain your healthy brain!
