Join us to learn about a Thaumatrope, which is a fun optical illusion toy that was popular in the 1800s. Then make one of your own.

A Thaumatrope or “wonder turner” is an optical illusion based on combining two images with movement. It was invented in 1826 by the English physician J.A. Paris. Thaumatropes were popular in the mid-1800s as a children’s toy. Join us to learn more about it, then make one of your own!
