Open Your World Online Book Clubs are for readers and aspiring readers to continue building their literacy skills by reading and discussing stories together. We use adapted novels and short stories. In September, we will finish reading: "Sacagawea: The Trip to the West".
Open Your World Book Club supports the literacy skills that adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities need to be their best selves and attain their greatest goals. Join us as we read novels and stories with content that interests adult readers, adapted into a format that is easily understood. In September, we will finish reading "Sacagawea: The Trip to the West". [“Sacagawea, a young Shoshoni woman, joins the Lewis and Clark expedition to help them explore the western United States. Along the journey, she guides the group through dangerous lands and helps them communicate with Native tribes. Her bravery and knowledge help the explorers succeed in their mission to reach the Pacific Ocean.”]
