Learn about comets and then create your own using dry ice and household ingredients!

We will introduce what is a comet and how it's made. We will show you how you make your own comet!

Supplies that you'll need:

5 lbs of day ice (purchased the day of or day before)

Mallet

Eye Protection

Insulated rubber gloves

Large plastic bowl

Plastic bag

Pie pan or flat tray

1 liter of water

1 cup of sand

Dash of ammonia

Dash of rubbing alcohol or corn syrup

Flashlight
