Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and Welcoming Week with ATL's own DACAmented artist and activist - Yehimi Cambrón. Although she initially became nationally known for her murals, Cambrón's art and activism quickly found their place in museum and gallery settings.
Join Gwinnett County Public Library and Gwinnett Community Outreach for a special presentation featuring local artist, activist, and public speaker; Yehimi Cambrón.
Yehimi Cambrón is a Mexican-born and Atlanta-raised DACAmented artist, activist, and public speaker whose work focuses on elevating the stories of immigrants and celebrating their humanity. Hear about her family’s immigration story, how she uses her art as activism, and her metamorphosis as she navigated the uncertainty and resilience associated with coming of age as an undocumented immigrant in the South.
Celebrate with us after Yehimi’s presentation with free refreshments from Cafecito Mexican Coffee Shop.
Registration is recommended.
