Georgia is ground-zero for a new invasive spider species from Asia - the Joro. Join us to learn about this creature and help track its distribution.
The joro arrived in Georgia about a decade ago and since then, scientists have been trying to track where it is and how abundant. The University of Georgia is asking the public to help them, and this program will show participants how to identify the joro and report it to UGA via their Joro Watch initiative, jorowatch.org. Participants will also get to explore the area around the library and maybe see a joro of their own during their peak season!
