Use toothpicks and other household items to build a structure and learn about resilience.
Participants will build a toothpick structure using items such as marshmallows and gumdrops. Participants will have the option to design their structures using pencils and paper. Once completed, participants will be able to test the strength of their structures and consult in-house and internet resources to improve the quality of their designs. The overall goal of the program is to teach basic engineering principles and instill resilience through creativity and problem-solving skills.
