Celebrate the culture, history and art of the Eastern Cherokee tribe. Learn about this amazing indigenous people - The People of One Fire.

In 2024, Indigenous Peoples' Day will be celebrated on Monday, October 14. Help us to celebrate one of the five great nations - the Cherokees and discover some amazing history!

These great people are one of five major tribes in America. They migrated to the Great Smoky Mountains over one thousand years ago. They loved this land and said it was the center of the world. Learn about some of their history, their accomplishments and the beauty they brought (and still bring) to the world.
