To celebrate Asian Pacific Heritage month, we?ll be learning about senbazuru, the Japanese cultural tradition of folding 1000 origami paper cranes to make a wish come true.
Senbazuru is often given as a gift to wish someone who is sick a return to good health, or to wish a newly married couple a long life of happiness together. We will talk about the history of this tradition and learn how to fold the origami cranes that make up the senbazuru.
