Buzz on over to the Suwanee Branch to learn about Mason Bees and how they live! We?ll also make a mason bee hotel from recycled materials.
We will learn about the life cycle, feeding habits, agricultural benefits, and ecological value of mason bees, as well as how to distinguish them from bees and wasps. We will use paper straws and recycled cans to build a personalized nesting place for mason bees. Although registration is limited to 12 students in grades K-6, parents are welcome, of course!
