A zine is a self-published, print-work that is typically produced in small, limited batches. Join us in this multi-session program as we focus on the history, importance, and art of zines and other small literary presses!
Culturally and historically, zines have served as a powerful outlet for content considered to be too niche or outside of the mainstream. Making zines allows individuals to share their ideas or writing without the barriers of other print media. In the first Zine workshop session we will focus on exploring the history of zines and small presses. You will have the chance to look over zine collections and brainstorm what you would like to make during the second session!
