For caregivers of children and adults with developmental disabilities who experience challenging behaviors, this is a layperson’s approach to investigating the potential causes and seeking help.
Rita Young will lead this presentation which was developed from her personal and professional experiences. She will provide a safe space to explore answers to the following questions:
• What are possible causes of challenging behaviors?
• What is the caregiver’s perspective & support needs?
• What are the relevant and available state resources that can help?
• What type of help do families need from the community in order to help the child succeed?
A Q&A question session will follow the presentation.
