Community | Doggie Tales: Dear Katie

Katie, the sweet therapy dog who spent countless hours with young readers at the Dacula Branch library, has recently passed away. Join us in celebrating Katie and expressing our gratitude to her owner through thank you letters and drawings during our farewell event. All letters and pictures will be given to Katie's owner after the event.

Doggie Tales - Dear Katie is an opportunity for community members to write letters and draw pictures in memory of Katie, Dacula's resident reading therapy dog, for her wonderful service here at Dacula. Sadly, Katie has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but we wanted to celebrate her service. 

Katie has been a patient listener to many reluctant readers over the years here at the library every month. She has helped those reluctant readers build confidence by being a safe, patient, and non-judgemental listener here at the Dacula Branch location and we wanted to thank Katie and her handler for their community service. All letters and pictures will be given to Katie's owner as a thank you for allowing Katie to love the community as much as we love her. 

This event is open to all ages.
