Learn how to view the sun safely!
Viewing the sun safely is not restricted to solar glasses! Prepare for the partial eclipse as we learn about the science of camera obscuras, and discuss solar glasses and methods of safely viewing the sun. Then learn how to make a simple solar viewer anywhere, and see demonstrations of other viewing methods.
Solar eclipse glasses will be provided to registered attendees in partnership with SEAL (Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries), the Space Science Institute, STARnet, and the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation.
Registration is Required.
