Join us for a friendly and enlightening discussion about "The Only One Left" by Riley Sager.

Let’s get together as a community and support each other as friends, and talk about the Murder Mystery novels we enjoy!  We meet on the third Wednesday evening of every month.  Tonight, we’ll be talking about The Only One Left by Riley Sager.  

In 1929, three Members of the Hope family were brutally murdered.  The local community was shocked, and while most assumed that 17 year old Lenora Hope was responsible, the police could never prove it.   It’s now 1983, and home helper Kit McDeere is caring for Lenora after her previous helper fled in the middle of the night.  Now in her 70s and confined to a wheelchair, Lenora has been rendered mute by a series of strokes, and can only communicate with Kit by typing out sentences on an old typewriter.  One night, she types “I want to tell you everything, it wasn’t me”.  But as she helps Lenora to recall the events leading to the murders, Kit realizes that there’s more to the story than meets the eye.
