December, January, and February are the coldest months of the year. During this time, many people can experience a feeling of sadness, low mood, and lack of energy. Please join staff and Amy Trunnell-Morris, the program leader from NAMI Hall (The National Alliance on Mental Illness) for an open discussion on SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder).
January Blues can be attributed to the Post Holiday Letdown, Financial Stress, Poor Weather, Lack of Sunlight, and not successfully completing your New Years Resolution. Amy Trunnell-Morris is a presenter and trainer from NAMI Hall-Athens. She will provide a presentation on SAD, discuss coping skills, share information about NAMI, mental health resources & peer support classes. There will be light refreshments as well.
This program is intended for ages 19 & up.
