Book Talk | Tropes & Tales - Brave New Worlds
Explore patterns, themes, & tropes that shape every tale.
Wednesday, June 03
1:00pm - 2:00pm
Take a closer look at the building blocks of storytelling. Each session explores a genre or author's signature elements - from common tropes to recurring themes - and includes interactive activities to help you discover new reads.
This program invites readers to explore the elements that make stories engaging. Each session will spotlight a different genre or author, breaking down common tropes, themes, and storytelling techniques in an easy-to-understand way.
Participants will not only learn how to recognize these patterns but also gain new appreciation for the artistry behind them. Along the way, participants will be challenged to try staff recommendations and “blind” picks from the collection to help explore what the library has to offer.
This month explores books with the “Brave New Worlds” trope.
