A day-long writing retreat designed for teens! Learn more about creative writing, storytelling, personal statement essays for college applications, and more. Presenters are published authors and members of the Atlanta Writers Club.
Learn new techniques to hone in on your creative writing skills.
11:00 - Welcome
11:15-12:00 - Module 1: Starting Your Writing Career in Your Teens (Author, publisher, and editor A.E. Williams)
12:00-12:45 - Lunch
12:45-1:30 - Module 2: Storytelling from the Ground Up (Author and teacher Adam Throne)
1:30-1:45 - Break
1:45-2:30 - Module 3: Writing Your Personal Statement Essay for College Applications (Author and college counselor Dana Zullo)
2:30-2:45 - Break
2:45-3:30 - Module 4: How and Why to Start a Teen Magazine (Author and publisher Todd Sullivan)
Attendees are encouraged to bring a tablet, laptop, or writing pad and pen.
* Lunch will be provided. While we will try to have options for different dietary needs, not everyone will be able to be accommodated, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own food if they have food allergies or dietary needs.
